February

Hello Hello!

Anyone else feeling like it’s hard to believe February is coming to a close. We are full on into 2021! All my own home projects seem to be on the backburner for the time being, but Liliidae’s are all in full progress! Not many are ready for the final touches or photos yet, but how about a little sneak peak of what’s in the works and maybe you can grab some inspiration for yourself.

Project #LHDwarmindustrial has been in the works for quite awhile. And it’s coming together beautifully. This home is a new-build and I was brought in to help piece together the decor and furniture decisions. Being that we are living in a time where everything is backordered, it’s been tricky to get the project completed. But phase one of the decor has been completed, and it looks amazing! Once the second phase is complete, we’ll get professional photos taken to show you all, but for the time being, iPhone photos will have to do.

One of my favourite aspects of this home is the mix of industrial elements injected with warmth. The concrete floors are softened by fabrics. The black accents are softened by wood. And while the whole home is a neutral palette, there are some injections of colour that are pretty outstanding!

Project #LHDprairiechalet is starting to come off the ground! After a few delays, the home now has structure and the elements are starting to come into place. It’s been such a learning curve to work on a home from the ground up, but I’ve loved it. It’s been such an honour to work with this new-homeowner couple to design and incorporate all the aspects of a home that will be functional for them. From the initial design plan, the home has evolved to involve a bit more colour in the cabinetry and in different areas of the home. It’s always so fun to tweak design here and there to fit the homeowners’ personalities. We’ll keep you posted on the progress for this one!

Project #LHDfunctionmeetsclassy is in full swing and it is gorgeous! Not without its struggles and delays (I’m learning that this just may be a part of every project?!) but I can’t wait to show you the finished product. Working with the homeowners to completely change the layout of their home to function and serve them better has been such an exciting progress. I love when we can combine functionality and beauty, and this home renovation has been the perfect opportunity to showcase these design elements. Here’s a sneak peak…. (and yes, you’re looking at the SAME corner of the house!)

All that to say, that there are no design projects 100% complete yet to showcase for you! But what I’m seeing in the design world so far for 2021, I’m liking. Warmer tones, fluted designs, statement light fixtures, darker paint colours, the most amazing vases, and hanging eucalyptus in the shower.

We’ve been planning and prepping for our Liliidae Spring Market, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve brought in. Sculptures, objects, a handful of furniture pieces, vases similar to what you see here, fake trees, and mirrors.

Do you have any home projects on your radar? Any renovation plans in the near future? What are you liking in the world of design right now?

Here’s to a new month….Hello March!
